The wilson and scorrier bits are basically the same as each other, except the
scorrier has twists or ridges on it. They have two sets of bit rings, one pair
where they would normally be on a snaffle, and the other around the bit itself.
When pressure is applied to the reins, the face is squeezed between the two
inner rings – it is quite a harsh bit.
